These are small communities, sometimes of just a few hundred people, where indigenous and strong cultural traditions are practiced and where food is the central and binding element. The series presents vibrant personalities and colorful local characters going about their daily lives. Each show is structured around the preparation of a festive meal. In addition, local elements of the village's art, architecture, history, music, dress and culture are intertwined with the food preparation.
